Sherlock Holmes died in name, and there wouldn’t be any adventures in faking government records because Mycroft is the British Government. Imagine if Mycroft is not as powerful, Sherlock would need to commit a lot of frauds in order to get things straightened up. He wouldn’t even be able to get out of airport security. haha
I also think Mycroft would be giving Sherlock a ridiculous name because he could. It took me a while that Benedict’s name is perfect.That name has entered the realm of normalcy in my head.Benedict Cumberbatch?! Is this name a joke?!
